Close to the town, a wide range of facilities are available at the Oysterhaven Activity Centre , Ireland’s leading windsurfing centre. Windsurfers, dinghies and canoes are available for rental on an hourly basis after 4.30 pm on weekdays and after 1 pm on Sundays. Sailing/windsurfing courses for adults and children, afternoons and evenings. During July and August five day multiactivity courses are available for 4-17 year olds including windsurfing, kayaking, adventure trails and team challenges plus sailing in single-handed and crewed dinghies. Visitors are welcome to join in on a daily basis. Advance reservations recommended. Tennis court and racquets available for hire.

There’s no need to don a wetsuit, all cruises are run aboard a luxurious cruising yacht based at the Trident Marina Kinsale.

You can choose from a day or half day sail.

A half day will have you sailing the yacht to either the Old Head of Kinsale or around the Sovereign rocks giving you a chance to get a feel for trimming the sails and steering the boat. Your professional skipper will encourage you to get involved in the sailing of the yacht; alternatively you may sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

A full day sail will allow you more time to explore the surrounding coastline and the beautiful sheltered harbour of Oysterhaven. We will anchor the yacht in Oysterhaven, where you can enjoy a fresh lunch provided by one of Kinsales fine chefs. After lunch and a bit of relaxation you can put your new found sailing skills into practice while cruising back to Kinsale.

Sailing Times:

Half Day: 45 euro per person

Morning: 11:00 to 13:30
Afternoon: 14:30 to 17:00
Sunset cruise: 18:30 to 21:00

Full Day: 90 euro per person excluding lunch. 1030 to 16:30
