Public coin and card telephones are available outside the Post Office and the Tourist Office as well as at other sites around the town.

Telephone cards (usually two kinds, eircom usable only in Ireland and International Global usable in several countries) can be bought in local shops and the post office. Dial 11811 or 11850 for Directory Enquiries. International directory enquiries is 11818.

Electrical Power

Power operates at 220-240 volts. Sockets only accept square, 3-pin plugs. Adaptors are needed for continental or US appliances. In addition, US devices designed to operated a 110-120 volts may need a transformer to prevent the higher voltage causing damage.

Curtin Electrical in Pearse Street offer a wide range of adaptors and cables for US and continental electrical items as well as camcorders and other electrical items.

The Kinsale Tourist Office is run by Cork Kerry Tourism, the office is open all year round and business hours are shown on the door.

There is also a Tourist Office in Cork City on Grand Parade, 021 425 5100.

Most are open 9 am to 6 pm, closed Sunday.
Some shops are open on Sundays and late evenings.

Offices
